The short answer to this question would be “from cannabis.” However, the cannabis plant can take on different forms which are generally grouped into two: hemp and marijuana. The main difference between the two groups is their genetic profile. Hemp (or industrial hemp) refers to cannabis plants that are typically farmed for their fiber; they have long stalks, fewer buds, and are used in making rope, paper, and natural plastic. The cannabinoid profile of industrial hemp shows that most of its cannabinoid content is CBD. They only have trace amounts of THC.

However, industrial hemp plants can be bred to yield more buds that have a very high CBD percentage. The buds or flowers are the part of the cannabis plant that has the highest concentration of cannabinoids. Marijuana, on the other hand, can be one of three species: cannabis sativa, cannabis Indica, or cannabis ruderalis plants. Medical marijuana plants naturally have a high number of buds. The amount of CBD and THC in the buds vary greatly, depending on the species and strain of the plant. Indica strains usually have a higher concentration of CBD than hybrids or sativa strains. On the other hand, Sativa typically has more THC than CBD. While this is a good rule of thumb, it isn’t always true: a cannabis plant’s cannabinoid profile still depends on how it is bred regardless of its species.

It is easy to visually differentiate an Indica strain from a sativa strain: Indica plants tend to be shorter and bushier, while sativa plants are tall and lanky. Indica's have short, wide leaves with fat blades, compared to the long, slender leaves of sativa plants. Marijuana is the most common source of CBD and THC products, but a few companies like CBDHOUSE source CBD from specially-bred industrial hemp plants

CBD stands for cannabidiol, 1 of 110+ Phyto-cannabinoid compounds found in cannabis. The most extensively-studied compound found in cannabis is THC (or tetrahydrocannabinol), but interest in CBD and its usefulness in medicine and recreation is quickly growing. Every kind of cannabinoid has its own unique function.

CBD can be ingested (dissolved in water, tea, or infused edibles), sublingual administration (under your tongue), applied topically, smoked, dabbed, or vaped.

Cannabinoids are compounds that interact with our bodies’ endocannabinoid system, or ECS. It has been recently discovered that all vertebrates have an ECS. It's a network of receptors that respond to the presence of cannabinoids. These receptors include CB1, CB2, adenosine, serotonin, and vanilloid. This system of receptors is responsible for keeping our minds and bodies in balance. The ECS regulates bodily functions like pain perception, appetite, mood, memory, immune response, and sleep. As of today, there have been more then 100 cannabinoid molecules that have been discovered and isolated.

Our body produces its own cannabinoids (called endocannabinoids). In infancy, our bodies source endocannabinoids from our mothers’ milk, to assist our underdeveloped ECS. Like all other bodily systems, our ECS grows less and less efficient as we age, and as the amount of endocannabinoids our bodies synthesize decreases, our bodies slowly go out of balance.

We become more prone to more health issues as we become more cannabinoid-deficient. Reintroducing cannabinoids into our body in the form of phyto-cannabinoids (or plant-based cannabinoids) like THC or CBD could help our bodies regain its natural balance and general well being.

Any cannabis plant that has more than 0.3% Delta9 THC is considered to be marijuana, a Schedule I drug in the United States, which makes it more subject to restrictions. Many suppliers like us at CBDHOUSE curb these legalities by sourcing industrial hemp that produces a lot of resin but has lesser amounts of Delta9-THC than the 0.3% legal limit.

The popular claim that CBD oil is "legal in 50 states" is due to the fact that it can be sourced from hemp plants other than the much-stigmatized and heavily-regulated marijuana.

CBDHOUSE provides specially-bred industrial hemp plants that are grown in environmentally-controlled highly sophisticated indoor facilities and greenhouses in California, Colorado, Minnesota and Oregon. Using different types of growing environments the plants get abundant amounts light.

At our indoor facility we use LED, and UVB. Growers employ high-powered lighting systems in conjunction with natural sun light. These method results in year-round harvests of plants that yield superior amounts of plant resin, cannabinoids, and terpenes.

After the plants mature, the buds are all trimmed by hand and go through an extensive cure and lab testing process. They are then contained in tamper-resistant bags or hermetically-sealed tins to preserve their freshness and flavor and to adhere to compliance standards. Because of the meticulousness of our operation, the quality of our products is unrivaled.

What is contained on our web pages might look like marijuana and marijuana products, but are actually legal industrial hemp products. This historic legislation establishes the legality of industrial hemp produced in state pilot agricultural programs. Congress provides the requisite definition for allowable amounts of THC. "Industrial hemp means the plant Cannabis sativa L. and any part of such plant, whether growing or not, with a delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol concentration of not more than 0.3% on a dry weight basis”. An important legal distinction also appears in the first sentence of this bill, stating: “Notwithstanding the Controlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. 801 et seq.), the Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act (20 U.S.C. 7101 et seq.), chapter 81 of title 41, United States Code, or any other Federal law”. The term “notwithstanding” was widely used by the 114th Congress as a way to supersede previous laws that may apply, without going through the process of overturning them. This confirms that hemp cannot be considered “marijuana” under the CSA. Consolidated Appropriations Act, Sec. 763 (2016) This legislation was the omnibus federal budget for FY2016. According to 7 U.S.C. §5940, the term “industrial hemp” means the plant Cannabis sativa L. and any part of such plant, whether growing or not, with a Delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (Delta-9 THC) concentration of not more than 0.3% on a dry weight basis. Only the Delta-9 THC level is relevant, not THC-A., this hemp flower has a Delta-9 THC level on a dry weight basis equal to 0%, well below the 0.3% maximum level and, therefore, this flower is hemp, not marijuana, and is perfectly legal to possess and sell. This right applies in any state pursuant to the Full Faith and Credit Clause, Article VI, Section 1 of the Constitution, the Supremacy Clause, Article VI, Section 2 of the Constitution, and the Equal Protection Clause, Section 1 of the Fourteenth Amendment.

Our hemp flower is grown by fully licensed growers. The hemp flower we provide is 2014 Farm Bill Compliant and contains no more then 0.3%THC. Please Check with local law and restrictions before purchase.
